GOSH Velvet Touch foundation primer

GOSH VELVET TOUCH FOUNDATION PRIMER
09/07/2015
Most of the year I wear primer for a special occasion, but in summer I feel like I have to use primer every day if I want my make up stay all day. I was eyeing this Gosh primer for a while since I have heard some people say that it is one of the best primers in the drugstore. So when I saw that it was discounted I grabbed it immediately.
The first thing I want to point out is that this primer is very silicone based, so if you hate this type of primers, you would definitely hate this one. I have big pores and an oily T-zone so I feel like I need this type of primer. And it does wonders. I have never thought that drugstore primer can keep your make up in place for soo long and make the skin look much smoother. I do have one recommendation if you decide to get this primer. Definitely let it sink into your skin before applying a foundation. Sometimes I notice if I hurry too much I have a hot mess on my face.
You do not need a lot of this primer so I think it will last for a long time. It contains Matrixyl 3000 which is an anti ageing ingredient, stating that it boosts collagen production, even skin tone, restore clarity, reduce the appearance of fine lines and increase elasticity. It also states that it fills in deep pores and fine lines and mattifies the skin for a silky soft surface. I have not broke out from it. This is suitable for all skin types and will not dry the skin out. Even suitable for sensitive skin as it is preservative and perfume free.

What primer is your favourite?

JUNE FAVOURITES

JUNE FAVOURITES
30/06/2015
Honestly I cannot believe that June passed. It seems that just recently I was celebrating New Years and now it is the middle of the year. I do not know why but I just love June. Maybe because that means I can finally relax and do what I enjoy. I have so many plans for the summer and hopefully I will fulfil them.
For me in summer probably one of the most important skincare items is sun cream. My face is quite pale and I have freckles, so protecting my face from the sun is super important for me. Recently I have bought Avene Very High Protection Cream SPF50 and it is my favourite sun cream I have tried so far. It sinks in my skin pretty fast and consistency is not too greasy. Also I was a bit worried it is going to break me out, but it is perfect for sensitive skin.

I love summer because I get that lovely tan, but Dove Summer Glow does everything you want. It moisturizes your skin while giving that beautiful summer tan and glow. The texture is very light so it sinks into a skin quite fast. Buut the best part is that it makes skin look much better. I apply this before I go to bed and wake up with tanned and glowing skin. I heard some people do not like the smell of this product, but I love it. For me it smells like summer. Also I would recommend getting medium to dark shade as it gives much better results than a lighter one.

I think most of us like to have their summer and winter perfumes. Recently I remembered my old favourite summer perfume - Heat Rush Beyonce. It kind of makes me feel like I am on a tropical beach. Top notes cherry and blood orange smells sweet but not too sweet and base notes amber, wood and musk makes this perfume so extraordinary. I would say surprisingly it last for quite a long time even it is EDT.
Moving to products I use on my face... Honestly, most of the days I wear a winged eyeliner. I feel like it fits to my eye shape and makes my eyes look bigger. For quite a long time I was looking for the perfect liquid eyeliner from drugstore that would not be too expensive. I was shocked by Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. It does not budge during a hot day. The applicator makes it very easy to draw a perfect cat eye.

For me it is important to protect not only my face from the sun but also my lips. Carmex Cherry Lip Balm has SPF15 and the smell is just lovely and summery. The good thing it comes in squeeze tube as I do not need to dip my finger in the tub (uhh.. I hate such a lip balms). With this product I can be calm that my lips are protected from the sun and moisturised at the same time.

What product did you love the most in June?

REVIEW: BOURJOIS 123 PERFECT CC CREAM

REVIEW: BOURJOIS 123 PERFECT CC CREAM
08/06/2015

So as summer is quickly approaching I thought it is time for me to hunt the base perfectly suitable for summer. After doing a little bit of research I found what I was looking for. A medium coverage yet would feel light on the skin. And you know what? This CC cream is perfect plus it is not too expensive.
Honestly, I was never going after that BB, CC and so on trend. All those claims sound too good to be a true. I have always thought that all those letters sound a little bit gimmicky. However, after hearing so much about this product I really wanted to try it myself and next thing you know I am standing in the drugstore near Bourjois counter.

I am so happy I have picked this product. It is honestly what I really wanted for so long. It covers all imperfections I have while I feel like wearing nothing on my skin. It gives lovely, bright but not too shiny finish. To top it off, it contains SPF 15, claims to deliver 24hr hydration, leaving my skin soft and supple. It claims to have apricot, green and white pigments to mask fatigue, redness and dark spots respectively. Honestly, I do not know how much it is true but what I know that it does cover dark spots quite well.
The one downside is shade range. They do not make a lot of shades. I believe that there are only 4 shades. I picked 32 Light Beige and I found it a tad bit darker for my skin as I do not have tan on my skin but in summer it should be a perfect match. However, I do think it might be a bit of a struggle to find a perfect shade.

REVIEW: MACADAMIA NATURAL OIL

REVIEW: MACADAMIA NATURAL OIL
16/05/2015
I am always searching for products that would improve the condition of my hair. So hearing that a lot of people swear by this, I wanted to see are they really worth the hype. But first of all I just want to say that I love smell of these products so much. For sure I would buy a parfume of this scent.
Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Spray Oil
Honestly, I would say that this is quite a splurge item but it does that it claims. After using I felt that my hair became softer and more manageable. One thing I would recommend to not over use it because it might leave your hair greasy. However, I believe that you might find quite a good oil for reasonable price in a drugstore.

Macadamia Natural Oil Nourishing Leave-In Cream
I love to use it when I curl my hair to make curls look more polished. My hair becomes softer, shinier and smells soo good. If you have frizzy hair definitely would recommend you to try this product. I know this is pricey product, but a little goes a long way.
Macadamia Natural Oil No Tangle Pre-Styler
I would say that I was not blown away by this product. It does help to soften your hair. However, not as much as other products from this line. Also I am not very fond of the texture of this product. It does feel like you are putting a conditioner on your hair so it feel kinda weird. I would recommend to get something from this line even thought other products are more expensive than this one. But at least it makes your hair super shiny and soft.

Macadamia Natural Oil Moisturizing Rinse
So I got a small size of this product wanting to see if it does something to my hair. It is not that amazing as I expected. It is quite a nice conditioner, but it did not blow my away. Definitely get the mask from this line. It is much more efficient than conditioner and I feel like it is better to pay that money for a mask.

Macadamia Natural Oil No Tangle Brush
I own this brush for a long time and I can not imagine my life without it. It absolutely changed my hair. It detangles hair so quickly, easy and painless. Bristles are bendy yet quite firm and felt really nice on a scalp. I have noticed that it minimises breakage, splitting and damage.

Honestly, I think that this line is worth the hype and most of the products does that it claims. If your hair desperately needs some help get some of product. It will help to prove your hair condition.

Have you tried some products from Macadamia Natural Oil line? If so tell me your favourites.

Andrea
